TELT is the journey of a teenager in modern Scotland in the Year of Young People.
Want to sign up? Read the following information carefully and fill out our application form below.
First of all – Boot Camp!
We are looking for young Actors, Singers and Dancers to get involved in making a brand new piece of theatre called TELT.
Everyone will do a bit of everything, but we’ll find you a role that fits you best. If you are more interested in dance, for example, then let us know in the form.
Be prepared to work hard, learn loads, test yourself at new things and share your ideas – we’re listening!
When and where do workshops take place?
For bootcamp days and times as follows:-
Tuesdays, Barmulloch Residents Centre (BCDC), 6pm – 8pm, April 17th to June 19th
Wednesdays, TO BE CONFIRMED
Thursdays, Roystonhill Community Centre, 6pm – 8pm, April 19th – June 21st
To be considered for the cast you must have good attendance during this time.
Show dates and rehearsal:-
Monday July 16th – Friday 20th
Monday July 23rd – Friday 27th
Monday July 30th – Saturday August 4th
You MUST be available for these dates when signing up. If you have any questions get in touch with us. If you have a few days you can’t make but really want to join we can chat about it.
Where and when is the show?
The show is on the main stage of the TRON THEATRE in the city centre, which we are incredibly excited about, we played there last year and it was so successful we will be back with not one but 2 dates!
Catch us there August 3rd & 4th
Are there any restrictions?
You must be aged between 10 – 25 years old and living in Glasgow.
How to apply?
All the questions are in the APPLICATION FORM at the very bottom of the page. You need to fill this out to sign up.
If you have any problems with it give us a call and we can fill it out with you over the phone (0141) 552 0234.
Are there free taxis?
During weekly bootcamp workshops there are some taxis available, we are matching young people up with the centre closest to them but understand there may still be some transport needs that we can help with. During production in July we have taxis available for everyone.
What if I don’t want to be on the stage?
Why not join our Young Artist Team?
If you’re more interested in being backstage and running the show, there’s a chance for a few young artists to join the Artistic/ Production Team and be trained and mentored by our excellent crew in lighting, sound, stage management, set, costume, choreography, directing and music.
These young artists will NOT be performing in the show. The training will take place on weekends in June and you’d also need to be available from 16th July to 4th August for intensive creation time with the full team and cast.
Let us know by phone, email, FB.
