At Toonspeak we regularly host residencies for artists in our wee studio in Royston.
Residencies allow artists to explore new ideas, developing theatre and performance work in a supportive space. They also allow people to explore their artistic practice within another community; meeting new people and sharing their work in progress with young people who gain insights, inspiration and in turn, give valuable feedback to the artists.
Previous artists in residence have included Terra Incognita Arts (Vickie Beesley), Mark Traynor, Amy Conway, Makeshift Broadcast (Katherine Nesbitt), Barry Henderson, Eilidh Reilly and Allofthethings (Hannah McLean and Julie O’Leary).
Please contact us if you wish to state your interest in being an AiR@Toonspeak in the future. We are currently calling out for our next few months of proposals for residencies.
