Phoenix Group: More Information on Accessibility within the space

Phoenix Group is targeted at young people with support needs who may benefit from a slower-paced workshop, focused on fun and making friends while being creative.

The venue we use is accessible for motor disabilities, with a disabled toilet on the main floor next to the workshop space.

We can put in place accessibility and support measures where required, such as;

  • Lighting within the workshop space being dimmed or brightened for any light sensitivities
  • Providing fidget toys and ear defenders within our workshops
  • Pre-arranging a “Quiet Space” as a break-out space for participants who may need it.

This list is not exhaustive and is an example of what we can provide for our participants, but always happy to discuss participants’ needs and requirements for joining workshops. All our artists for this workshop are experienced in supporting young people with varying disabilities. We also provide transport support to and from the workshop, from any Glasgow postcode, to ensure our young people can attend the workshop barrier free.

Support Requirements

We understand that sometimes you may need some additional support to attend our workshops. We provide support across a variety of needs – transport support, quiet spaces, ear defenders/fidget toys for workshops, and more.

If you have any accessibility needs, please contact us to arrange support via email or phone. One of our team will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange support for you.
